Slideways is the first all-instrumental release by Bay Area slide guitar maestro Roy Rogers. Since his first recording in 1976, he has been widely acknowledged as one of the world's great practitioners/ innovators of modern slide guitar. He has previously released eight solo recordings, been nominated for two Grammy Awards as a recording artist, and received six Grammy credits as a producer. Slideways features all instrumental tracks with some very special guests, who include Zigaboo Modeliste (The Meters), Francis Clay (Muddy Waters), Norton Buffalo (Steve Miller) and Philip Aaberg (Peter Gabriel, Elvin Bishop).
